1. Cangshan Mountain

3. Dali Ancient City

Baoshan was historically the starting point of the Southwest Silk Road to India and is rich with ancient temples, towns and villages. It is also popular for its thermal springs.

Chuxiong is the home to Yi Ethnic Group in China, the home to oriental human beings as well as the home to dinosaurs in the world. There are diversified landscapes from soil forests, canyons, wetlands, terraces to rivers, lakes and waterfalls…

Dali is one of Yunnan’s most popular tourist attractions, with its historic Old City and its natural setting around Erhai Lake between the Cang Mountains and the sublimely beautiful Mount Jizu.

Dehong on the western edge of Yunnan has a 300-mile border with Myanmar and a place where the culture and commerce of the two countries blend harmoniously to produce rich cultural cross fertilization. It’s also a popular destination for its jadeite and other mineral resources.

Diqing, which means “a place of good luck” is a Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture located at the juncture of Yunnan, Tibet and Sichuan, and the home of the legendary Shangri-La, the fairy tale land of eternal peace described in the novel “Lost Horizon.”

Kunming has an average annual temperature of around 15°C, with the hottest months averaging temperatures between 19-22°C. In February, flocks of red-billed gulls, escaping the cold winds from the north, migrate all the way from the distant Lake Baikal in Siberia to settle in the water areas of Kunming, such as the Panlong River, Cuihu Lake, and Dianchi Lake. People come to witness these little elves, creating a tranquil and harmonious atmosphere throughout the city.

Honghe is world famous for the fantastically beautiful Yuanyang Rice Terraces sculpted ornately into the landscape, as well as for Jianshui Ancient Town, with more than 50 well-preserved buildings from antiquity.

A city located on the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, southwest of Gaoligong Mountain, with an area of less than 1000 square kilometers,Ruili is often an overlooked border town.

Kunming is the capital and largest city of Yunnan, a dynamic modern center of commerce and culture, with deep historical roots, many temples and set in beautiful natural surroundings near the mountains on the shore of Dian Lake.

Lijiang is a city in the northwest of Yunnan province well known for its Old City, a UNESCO World Heritage Site dating back to the 13th Century, but with ancient cave paintings and archaeological relics dating to prehistory.

Lincang is a lush, fertile territory near the Lancang River, famous for the production of black tea. It’s the home of 23 ethnic minorities. Its subtropical low-latitude mountain monsoon climate attracts many tourists.

Shangri-La is synonymous with a utopia, where there are flower seas, mountains, canyons, lakes... everything you can imagine.

In May, as spring transitions into early summer, the snow on Meili Snow Mountain has not completely melted. The rivers and lakes begin to fill up, washing away the desolation of winter. Rhododendrons bloom in full force, creating a breathtaking flower sea that covers the mountains and grasslands. They colour the green mountains and clear waters red, transforming the snowy region into a captivating wonderland.

Nujiang in the northwest of Yunnan borders Tibet and Myanmar and is one of the most beautiful valleys in China. It is the home of many different ethnic minorities that live there together.

Pu’er borders Vietnam, Laos and Myanmar, and is famous as the center of tea trade since been the time of the Tang Dynasty of 618 – 907. It draws many tourists who are drawn by its Pu erh tea and tea culture.

Qujing is known for its beautiful mountain landscapes and its unique fields of rapeseed, which create vast expanses of brilliant yellow. It is also the site of many delicately preserved ancient buildings.

Located in the southeastern part of Yunnan Province, Wenshan Zhuang-Miao Autonomous Prefecture is only 100 kilometers (62 miles) from Ha Giang, Vietnam, and only 307 kilometers (191 miles) from Hanoi.

Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture is in the south of Yunnan Province, inhabiting the far southern reaches of China near the neighboring countries of Laos, Myanmar and Thailand. As a stopping point on the Ancient Tea-horse Road, it has been a cultural center for millennia.

Yuxi is a city in central Yunnan in the region of three great lakes, Fuxian, Xingyun and Qilu. Yuxi is well-known across China as home to Yunnan tobacco. It is rich in both historic landmarks and natural beauty.

Zhaotong in the northeast of Yunnan borders on Sichuan and Guizhou provinces and was historically the gateway through which culture and commerce flowed in and out of Yunnan to the rest of China. It also offers rich natural beauty with its waterfalls, canyons, virgin forest, caves and rivers.
