The magical thing about Lijiang is that you can experience spring in all seasons. For example, at dawn, if you climb up Laojun, the feeling of "spring" lasts from April to June. While many cities are engulfed in heat, visitors can still enjoy the brilliant summer flowers at 99 Dragon Pond in Laojun Mountain.

99 Dragon Pond is located southwest of the city of Lijiang, at an altitude of over 4000 metres. Here, there are nearly a hundred glacial lakes that are as clear as mirrors, creating the scenic area.

Laojun Mountain stretches for hundreds of miles, with layers upon layers, undulating and rising and falling, and divided into four areas: the Dawn Danxia Scenic Area, 99 Dragon Pond Scenic Area, Gedan Alpine Meadow Scenic Area, and Jinsichang District. The high mountain rhododendron forest and pristine forests at 99 Dragon Pond are truly stunning.

At Laojun Mountain lies well-preserved precious alpine coniferous forests within the borders of Lijiang. The dense original fir forests surrounding the glacial lakes blend with vast patches of high mountain rhododendron forests. The mountains are filled with blooming rhododendrons in various shades of purple and pink; while the winding 99 Dragon Pond remains crystal clear like a mirror.

With unique peaks and stones, blue lakes and streams;Birds chirping and flowers blooming; it creates a beautiful fairyland-like scenery. In addition to attractions such as high mountain Longtan Lake, rhododendron meadows, ancient glacier traces, and more. They always attract locals and tourists alike who come to witness its beauty.



From April to July, the Rhododendrons in Laojun Mountain, Yunnan Province, gradually bloom. "The Rhododendrons are in full bloom with flowers and leaves exuding fragrance." The mountains are covered with red Rhododendron flowers, creating a picturesque scene. The peaks, glacier lakes, alpine Rhododendron forests, and fir forests form a unique landscape like a fairyland.

The Rhododendron forest brings infinite vitality to Laojun Mountain. These flowers grow on high-altitude rocks and are full of the passionate nature of the mountain wilderness. Their bright colours and delicate petals gather together in clusters. They can be scattered among the trees or bloom on mountain ridges. In the continuous mountains and wilderness, they compete to show their unique charm.

It is understood that there are nearly a hundred species of Rhodosjiishlong Tanarea distributed in Laojun Mountain's Ninety-Nine Dragon Pond area. As the elevation gradually rises, they bloom one after another. Colourful clusters of vibrant flowers complement the lush forests and clear Dragon Ponds, displaying the unique charm of alpine flowers.

After the rain clears up, XiuYa Rhodos on top of Laojun Mountain bloom abundantly. Especially during early summer when rainfall increases, you can not only enjoy XiuYa Rhodos but also witness natural landscapes such as seas of cloud. The flowering period for Taibai Rhodos is also approaching. Let’s look forward to it together!
