During the upcoming Phoenix Festival, the highly anticipated Water Splashing Festival is much anticipated. It’s a traditional festival in Yunnan during the Dai New Year of the Dai ethnic minority in Xishuangbanna. This year marks the 1386th year of the Dai calendar and 2024 Water-Splashing Festival of Dai Nationality is here, inviting you to experience it.

The Ethnic Traditional Cultural Exhibition will be held on 14 April, from 8:30 to 11:30 in the main streets and Water Splashing Square of Jinghong City. There will be rich and colourful performances and parades showcasing the traditional culture of the Dai ethnic minority.

The Water Splashing Carnival will begin on 15 April, from 9:00 to 10:30. A series of exciting activities will take place, allowing you to fully experience the Water Splashing Festival.
