The must-knows for motorhome travel in Yunnan

Key information:

1. Driver's License: A regular driver's license (C-type) is sufficient for driving a motorhome.
2. How to choose a motorhome: There are B-type (typically 5 seats/2 beds) and C-type (typically 6 seats/4 beds) categories of motorhome available. In practice, it is most comfortable to travel in a group of three people, with four being the maximum limit. The double bed at the front of the vehicle may theoretically accommodate two people but will feel cramped.
It is recommended to choose C-type vehicles for more spaciousness.
3. Travelling in a group of 2-3 people provides maximum comfort.
4. Documents required for picking up your motorhome: Bring your driver's license, ID card/passport, and a credit card
5. Water in the motorhome:

The water tank in a motorhome is generally around 150L. Remember to bring a universal water faucet connector to easily fill up the tank with water.

6. Watch out for height restrictions.

1. Mopanshan National Forest Park

Facilities: Self-driving camping sites at Junzi Mountain scenic spot; camp base; mountain climbing trails and supply stations; ethnic sports field; toilets and electricity facilities.
